Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I want to make some changes at my home. Do I have to contact the HOA before I do anything?
A: If you're making interior changes, then no. If you are making ANY exterior changes, then please fill out the ARC Approval Form.
Q: I'm going to repaint the exterior of our house. Can I just start painting?
A: No. You must receive approval for all projects. If it is the same color or on the existing list of pre-approved colors (found here), you can expect a very quick approval.
Q: I received a penalty "non-compliance" fee notice for something. Can I appeal it.
A: Of course. We are a close knit of home owners and we all want to work together. Typically, the Board will reach out to you prior to any fee notices being sent. A notice is not sent until we feel an appropriate time frame has passed where the correction of the offense should have been made, but we also realize sometimes people are on vacation or the necessary people or things are not available within a given time frame. We are happy to work with you towards a resolution.
Q: I noticed an offense or would like to report an issue within the HOA. What do I do?
A: Please fill out our Owner Grievance Form.
Q: I've decided to go solar. Can I do this?
A: Green Ridge encourages energy conservation and welcomes the use of solar power; however, we are mindful of the potential esthetic impact on the community. As such, all solar installation projects must be approved by the HOA. Arizona statues limit the control that an Association such as ours can have over solar energy devices and installation, but the board has an obligation, and the ability, to require certain components be moved/added/covered (cost dependent) and/or painted to maintain the community aesthetics. The objective of these guidelines is to have solar panels installed such that they are not visible from the road, have minimal impact on neighboring properties, and all ancillary solar equipment be installed in such manner as to blend with the structure.
